Last year we lost a close friend and colleague to a rapacious and, devastatingly, incurable muscle wasting disease. Motor Neurones disease became part of our friends life when he was a young man and after a long battle and a few charity events himself, he sadly lost the war, leaving many loved ones behind. The eight of us have pledged to walk the 26 miles from Shepperton to The Devils Punchbowl, on 17th November over a 12 hour period in to the night. We’ve decided to raise money for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, in the hope the money can go towards the funding of equipment and care for others like our colleague Steve Goldsmith.
