This July, Simon and I are taking on the challenge of the mighty Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon. This is Simon's first attempt at the quad and I am coming back after unfinished business in 2010 when I had some knee problems and navigation got the better of my team!

The challenge is a great one. We will be swimming almost a mile across the very cold loch tay (it was about 9 degrees the last time!), running 15 miles over 7 munros (2,500m of ascent), before kayaking 8 miles up loch tay and then cycling the 34 miles around it. It's a fantastic cause with monies going to Mercy Corps and also to Mary's Meals, who both do a huge amount of work in poverty-stricken countries.
