Rosie and I send our love to all of you, wherever you live and whoever is allowed to spend time with you over `Christmas. 

I am a 75 year old Grandad aiming to shuffle, run and walk 1048 miles and 40 back to back marathons with our Rosie dog in the 12 months from March 15, 2020 under lockdown rules. 

Our rules are that Rosie and I go out every day for about an hour around 6;30 am, rain, hail gales, tired or not, until we finish, which I am aiming to be within 365 days and 40 marathons’ distance.  We started March 15 of 2020. 

Imagine the suffering that we know about but without the support available in the richer economies.  Actionaid funds the local charity partners who channel the help where it is and to meet the immediate need. This need might be food or soap or hygiene materials or helping women to find work, and girls to go to school. 

I appreciate and understand that you caring people are already probably supporting other charities. Many of you are extremely short of money and are so pressed for time.I am grateful for giving your time to read this story. 

Anything you give will make an immediate difference to the lives of people who are now suffering catastrophic poverty.
