Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
THANK YOU to all my sponsors.
The charity event on Sunday was a success with eight of us swimming 100 meters 100 times.
There was one lane of four swimmers who did 90 second intervals but I moved into the 100 second interval lane with four swimmers. The first 50 100's were easy, the next 25 hard and the last 25 very difficult on my 60 year old shoulders. But I finished in 2 hours 45 minutes for the 10k.

The past few weeks have seen a number of tragic events across the U.K. that have greatly affected me and I'm sure each of us.
I read about the brave police officer who, armed with a baton, ran towards crazed terrorists at London Bridge and fought them to protect civilians. I also read about the men and women in the fire department who ran inside the burning Grenfell Tower to save civilians.
I am very proud to be part of this great country and the London community and would like to do what I can to honour those in the emergency services who protect us and keep our families safe.
In that regard I am raising funds for The Mace Foundation's appeal for Mind's Blue Light Programme which provides crucial mental health support for emergency services staff and volunteers from ambulance, fire, police and search and rescue services across England and Wales.
On July 16th, I have arranged with a few of my swimming friends to raise funds through a very challenging session: we will swim 100 meters 100 times on 90 second intervals (maybe 5-10 seconds rest between swims). That's 10K in 2 1/2 hours.
Please help me to support our incredible emergency services by giving generously.
