Story
"It's all been a terrible mistake. I thought I was signing up to do a sponsored cake sale. Turns out it's an abseil. I did wonder what the Forth Rail Bridge had to do with it."
Myeloma is an increasingly common cancer of plasma cells which are found in the bone marrow.
Each year in the UK nearly 4,000 people are diagnosed with myeloma.
The number of cases has more than doubled in the last 30 years, but still 97% of people don't know what it is.
Myeloma UK relies almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising activities.
It receives no government grants or support. Myeloma UK makes sure that as much of your money as possible goes as far as possible. That is why administration and fundraising costs are kept to the absolute minimum.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As a parent, I know what it's like to be constantly asked to stick my hand in my pocket - and I know that it's not always possible to do so. So seriously - no pressure. But if you are able to donate, it will be massively appreciated, regardless of the amount. Every little helps, as they say.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
