Story
I lived next door to Emma for the whole of her life. She and her sisters are a fixture of almost all my childhood memories - local events, holidays, parties, Christmas, Easter, school days, shooting days, skiing trips, Cornwall, etc - and it seems impossible that she is no longer here. Cruelly, Emma died last year, just before her 16th birthday, from a rare auto immune disease called Churg Strauss and those of us who knew her have been trying to make sense of her death ever since. One way to do that is to help raise funds to ensure this illness is more easily identified, treated and cured for others. I hope to play a small part in that process by raising money for the Rosebud Appeal set up in Emma's memory. Along with my friend, William Hoare, who also knew Emma as a friend, I am taking part in the Mongol Rally 2015; a 10,000 mile car journey through some of the most remote places on the planet. It is not a race, it is an endurance test - something Emma knew all about in her last few months and in its execution we hope to do her proud. We really hope you will want to help us.
