Story
Back in 2003 Ben and I (Johnny) went to East Africa to volunteer within the rural communities. We had a great time helping out and made lots of friends in the community, but we were also struck by the many struggles they endured.
Co-incidentally my neighbours Jane and Andrew run a charity Advantage Africa , that supports vulnerable people in East Africa affected by poverty, disability and HIV, helping to improve their education, health and incomes.

Although over 15 years ago, the people we met are still very much in our thoughts and that is why we have a great admiration of the life-changing work of Advantage Africa in Kenya and Uganda and are keen to support their efforts. Their projects include education for disabled children, sustainable incomes for single parent families, HIV testing and counselling, skin cancer prevention for people with albinism, and much more. They really are a small charity making a big difference!
I've never run a half marathon before so I know this is going to be a struggle and the more sponsorship we can raise the more it will keep us going throughout the race!
So we'd be very thankful if you could donate whatever you can afford and thank you in advance for your generous support. Wish us luck!
