Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation. I set this up initially for the May 2023 MCR10K, which I ran hobbling from a pulled calf and damaged meniscus. This is my first 10K since knee surgery on my shredded meniscus in Nov 2023. So I have reset the pager the MCR10K two years on! And so grateful for all the guidance and training to get me here after surgery.

There are 3 main reasons for running for the BHF.

• My cousin John Macloed died suddenly in March '23 from a heart attack, without any prior indicators, way too young.

• My father died of a heart attack also at the way-too-young age of 56.

• I am continuing to support the partnership of PureGym with the British Heart Foundation. https://www.puregym.com/british-heart-foundation.

Time target: Anytime the same day.

Last run May 2023: Finished hobbling with final sprinting in 64 mins

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. Every pound helps so please give if you can. Thanks!
