Story
As many of you will know, my Dad and Calum's Grandad lost his battle with Parkinson's last Christmas Day. As a keen cyclist he often talked about wanting to cycle the "End to End" but never quite found the time to organise it. The closet we got was back in 1986 when we decided to try the first stage, cycling from Land's End back home to Aston Ingham, which started with a challenging first day in heavy rain on a very busy A30!
To help raise funds for Parkinson's myself and Calum (hopefully plus Phil and Col for a few days along the way!) have decided to complete the End to End trip I started 31 years ago. But keen to avoid dual carriage ways this time we are following the Sustrans route along quiet roads and cycle ways. Although we are starting at Aston Ingham we will still be covering 830 miles, only 44 miles shorter than the traditional route by road from Land's End to John o'Groats of 874 miles.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate they will send your money directly to the charity. We hope you will follow us on our journey and give generously so hopefully one day they will find a cure for Parkinson's.
