Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This is where I’m going to try and persuade you that giving money through this website is a really spiffing idea. I know there may be a recession on but this doesn’t mean people in poverty or in war zones are any better off. Furthermore, donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Oxfam gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

The main event I will be doing this year is The Oxfam TrailWalker in July, which is a 100 km (60 miles) race from Petersfield to Brighton. Although 60 miles is not that far in a car or train, and may even sounds like fun on a bicycle (for some anyway), this race will be on foot. Furthermore, this particular race there is a time limit of 30 hours, which kind of means that there will be no time for sleeping during the trek. There are three other sadists doing this trek with me and they are: Dr Tim Bean, Dr Tony Hooper, and Mr Sam Faulk. This will be my maiden voyage on such longs walks, but we are hoping to be doing the race in less than 20 hours (more like 17-18 hopefully) – just image the blisters. Although we were going to raise money anyway, the conditions of the challenge is that we collectively raise >£2000 for Oxfam. So please give generously.

So please sponsor me!
