At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

On 11th March 2023 I will be embarking on a challenge that is to trek for 12 days to reach Everest Base Camp.
I have always wanted to see the highest mountain in the world in person and now I have a real reason:
I lost my sister Louise this year way too soon due to early onset Alzheimer’s.

Louise was a genuine and amazing person. She was my big sister. She was also a wife to David, a mum to Hannah and Rosie, a musician, a teacher, and a friend to so many people. Louise loved life and it was slowly taken away from her.

Alzheimer’s affects so many people, just like my sister and our family. If you can spare a few pounds to support my trek to Everest on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Society Charity, it will really help to raise awareness and support people living with dementia, their families and fund the much needed research into this disease.
My trek is completely self funded so all donations will go directly to the charity.

This is for you Louise 💙

Thank you

John
