For anybody who knew our Dad and would like to say cheerio, his Requiem Mass will be on Tuesday November 3rd at 10.30am at Our Lady Mother Of The Church, Curriehill Road, 222 Lanark Road West, Currie. Dad's body will be received into the church on Monday 2nd November at 5pm. To everybody who posted kind words we'd like to say a big thank you. The whole family is very moved and we all feel comforted and supported by the messages you sent.
Our dad had a fierce hunger for justice and always cared for those in need. His bank statement was a long list of regular payments to a host of charitable organisations, local, national and global. He was a prison visitor and brought people in need into his own home to feed them, talk to them, sometimes give them work - give them courage and dignity. As a member of Amnesty International, he regularly wrote powerful letters in support of victims of torture or oppression. So, instead of flowers, if you would like to make a donation to Amnesty, then please do so on the day or if you are not able to make it, you can donate right here on this page.
