Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2005 I lost my mum to cancer, and just last December I lost my dad to it as well. Cancer is a horrible, nasty disease that is extremely tough to endure without support. Both of my parents were helped by Macmillan Cancer Support during their fight and so I wanted to do something to raise a little money for them. Hopefully what I raise will help someone else's mum, dad, brother, sister, daughter, son or friend.
My challenge is to ride the Ride London 100 Mile Bike Ride on the 4th August in under 6 hours - that equates to an average of almost 17mph the whole way round. Given the hills (including Box Hill) and the number of other riders, it is going to be something that really pushes me. I have put in some miles in preparation for the ride but I am still unsure if I can achieve it. Any pledges made here, no matter how small will do wonders to spur me on to hit my target.

P.S. Yes, that really is a picture of me with my mum and dad. And yes, I had a lot more hair than I do now, even then !
