Story
GBWR is the National Governing Body for wheelchair rugby in Great Britain. We create opportunities for disabled people to become part of vibrant communities, support a strong membership and club system, and manage the Great Britain national team which participates in events around the world, including the Paralympic Games. We are an inclusive, mixed gender sport which encourages those with disabilities who may feel isolated and alone, that there are opportunities for them in our sport including the potential to gain international honours.
I am so proud that my second cousin Chris Ryan is the captain of this amazing squad of athletes. They came so close to winning a medal at the Rio Olympics, and they deserve the opportunity to continue their inspirational rise to being the best of the sporting elite, and go for Gold in Tokyo.
