We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

The Durham and Darlington Group is run entirely by volunteers and aims to provide the best possible support to local people with MND, their families, and carers.

Having been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in July 2019 my husband,John with my help, strived to live as normal a life as possible.

John and I found the monthly meeting at Brambles coffee shop within Shincliffe garden centre a good way to meet with others, who either were experiencing or knew how to deal with MND.

Any donation to the local group will be greatly appreciated and put to good use to help others in ways that we were helped.

John was mentally strong to the end, but trapped in his body unable to move, he lost his fight on 22nd September 2020.
