Hi,

I have entered the Paras 10 P Company Challenge to be run on September 11th 2011 at the Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire. For those who don't know what that is visit the site http://www.paras10.com, but briefly its a 10 mile run over the same course used by the Parachute Regiment, in boots, carrying a 35lb pack and my target time is under 1hr 50 mins.

I am doing the event for The Parachute Regiment Charity which was established to support soldiers of the Parachute Regiment and other Airborne Forces and their families. This organization promotes  efficiency of The Parachute Regiment, relieves need, hardship and distress amongst past and present members of The Parachute Regiment, and their dependents and maintains the heritage of The Parachute Regiment.

With all four battalions of The Parachute Regiment including the 16th Air Assault Brigade having served in Afghanistan, The Parachute Regiment needs our support more than ever.
