Music Marathon For The Marshes, 17 February 2018

Story

Suffolk Wildlife Trust has a once in a lifetime chance to 'buy the horizon.' I'm fundraising to help them create the Suffolk Broads Nature reserve - a 1000 acre wilderness where wildlife can thrive.David Attenborough is also backing the campaign saying: 'Please help Suffolk Wildlife Trust rescue this precious corner of East Anglia and bring back wildlife in all its splendour." Every donation will make a real difference, thank you!

I will host a special music day at CAMRA award-winning pub, The Stanford Arms in Lowestoft.   Starting at 2.00pm, the music will run continuously until 10.30pm with myself and musical friends and guests providing the entertainment. To add an extra dimension and hopefully encourage more donations, I will aim to play all day, either solo or guesting with other musicians.  People may donate in advance through the Music Marathon for the Marshes Just giving Page, sponsor a request on the day, sponsor me in my challenge, or throw some money in the bucket at the pub.  David and Sam Burd, who run the Stanford Arms, have generously offered a donation from the day’s profits so, the more real ale you buy, the more money for the local wildlife and environment!  No better excuse required!
