Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Five years ago , aged 65, I tried for the first time to sing solo in front of a small pub audience. I was nervous, I did not sing well and I was heckled by two drunks in the front row . I thought this was the worst night of my life and did not sing solo again. However, six months later I awoke from a nine hour operation for Bowel Cancer not knowing what the future held for me , but it really put into context what is important in life. Two years later I married my lovely fiancé at a wedding attended by my four equally lovely children and four young grandchildren and I now sing solo whenever I'm given a chance. On Saturday 12th at 10.00 am I will be singing 8 songs non stop to raise funds for Bowel Cancer UK and West Mersea Parish Church . I'm also singing with the Vocalise Community Choir at 1.30 pm and in the big singalong at 7.00 pm .
