Thanks for following the link.  You'll already have been able to read quite a bit about what I am doing, but the reason I have chosen the Royal British Legion as one of my charities is because as a young man I never really appreciated what everyone went through during the war, my Dad most of all.  He never wanted to talk about it although it kept him awake at night.  My route will follow his in his tank after D Day until the war ended for him at Wilhelmshaven. 

And there are still young people who go to fight for us, whether we and they agree the case for war, so I thought I should help to raise something in honour of my Dad and all of them and to support the RBL in all it does.
