Virgin London Marathon 2015 · 26 April 2015 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 26th April I'll be spending a few hours putting one foot in front of the other, aka attempting to run my third ever marathon, and my first at London.  I've always liked the idea of running those final 385 yards down The Mall. But to make it through the first 26 miles (gulp) I'll need to get seriously motivated!

That's where raising money for the Stroke Association comes in.  When, years ago, my Dad had a series of strokes  I saw at close quarters how stroke can be life-changing, and just how important it is for survivors to get good quality support -  both practical and emotional.   I know that the Stroke Association will make great use of any £ that you can spare.

Thanks for your generosity and for cheering me on!
