Story

Thankyou for visiting my Justgiving page. I'm took part in the Great North Run on September 20th, to raise money for The Stroke Association.  I came around 16,000th out of about 55,000 runners, and finished it in 2 hours 7 minutes. Any donations are very much appreciated.

The Stroke Association work to improve medical treatment & support for stroke victims, and for people caring for them. And also to help prevent strokes by raising awareness of the dangers, and the type of lifestyle changes that reduce the chance of them occurring.  Currently one person in the UK suffers a stroke every 5 minutes. This is a cause that's very important to me on a personal level as 3 members of my close family have died from the results of having strokes.

For more information on the Stroke Association & the work they do see http://www.stroke.org.uk/information/index.html

Cheers

John
