Story
In 2007 my life changed forever when I walked out of a Neurologist's surgery having been told that I had Young Onset Parkinson's disease. I was only 33. Together with a cocktail of drugs (!), regular exercise has helped me to cope, physically and mentally, with the daily challenges that Parkinson's throws at me.
In 2016, Peter, Martin, Tony and I cycled the 470 kms from London to Paris to raise funds for the Imperial College Brain and Tissue Bank. Friends, family and people I'd never even met generously donated £2700 and between us we raised over £10,000. This year we're going to continue the cycle challenge, starting where we finished - Paris.
An even tougher challenge, I will cycle 520 kms from Paris, over the Alps, to Geneva raising money for Parkinson's UK.
Thanks so much for visiting this page and donating money. It means so much to me that you are all supporting me and Parkinson's UK. Your donations will help support people living with Parkinson's disease and fund research into finding better treatments and a cure.
