London to Brighton for Teddy 🚴🏽‍♂️, 28 April 2019
Teddy is a cheeky, funny and affectionate little boy. When he was just 16 months old he became ill, in April 2018 a tumour was found in his stomach and he was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma.

Story

On 28 April 2019 a group of us are cycling from London to Brighton, a distance of 65 miles (105km).

We are raising much-needed and urgent funds for Teddy Mascaro (Paul and John's 2 year-old nephew) who has high risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer.

Since diagnosis in April 2018, Teddy has been through 8 rounds of chemotherapy, a 7-hour surgery, high dose chemo, radiotherapy and now immunotherapy. The treatment regime is extremely intense and relentless due to the aggressive nature of the disease.

He has coped brilliantly  and responded well to the treatment, but with high risk neuroblastoma the relapse rate is very high at around 40-50%.

Teddy’s parents are raising money for a pioneering vaccine trial in New York which aims to prevent future relapse and has shown a lot of promise so far. This will cost £238,000.

Please consider joining us for the bike ride or donating whatever you can for this cause.

Thank you!
