Story
In 2016 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. In October 2018 I underwent surgery to remove the tumour. The amazing team at Southmead hospital in Bristol got out as much of that little beastie as they could but some remains- impossible to remove because of the risk to healthy tissue. Three and a half years later and having had radio and chemo I am doing well and have had numerous brain scans showing there is no new growth. Now have a scan every six months. The causes of brain tumours are largely unknown and The Brain Tumour Charity is the leading charity funding research into cause and prevention. I have been very lucky so far but I’ve heard so many devastating stories of others who have lost family friends and loved ones to a brain tumour. This is a charity that is very close to my heart. If you can spare a little that would be amazing. I’m off to ride my bike!
