I should explain why I am taking part...I remember a couple of years ago when I got to know Danny Abercrombie(who has since become a close friend)he told me of a friend of his who was suffering from cancer,I remember being shocked at how young he was to have been stricken with such an awful illness.I heard updates from Danny at his struggle and despite having never met him,I was deeply saddened at his death and saw the profound effect it had on Danny and others who knew him. Danny asked me to take part in this marathon to help honour his memory and to raise money for his families chosen charity and I did not hesitate in saying yes. There are a few of us doing it and we all as a team want to do this for Stuart and I am sure he will be proud of us especially Danny who has been instrumental in getting us all together.I will even wear an Aberdeen strip too!!
