I managed it!  3:54:30  - 12184th out of 45000.

I'm pleased with the time for a first attempt and think I might have another go ! Many thanks for all the support both in New York and at home, motivation was never an issue.

The best tip I received was to avoid rain when it wasn't raining on the Verrazano Narrows Bridge - many thanks Phil!
