Kate's Memory Walk for John Oldfield

My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 64 years. This disease is cruel and stole my dad from me at such a young age. He sadly passed away on 2nd September 2018 at the age of 69.
My dad had many loves.. his family, cups of tea, West Ham, his cars, polar bears, sudoku but up high on the list was his career - 31 years service in the Police.
My dad worked in many places and in many parts of the country, but my friends and I have chosen to walk from Oxted Police Station (now sadly flats!), to Caterham Police Station to Reigate Police Station - 3 stations my dad worked at early in his career.
My dad was a keen walker and I know he will be walking with us, in spirit.
I don't want anyone to suffer like my dad has suffered. Alzheimer's needs a cure and I will do anything to help get that cure faster by raising vital funds for Alzheimer's Society.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
