Story
How hard can it be to climb Everest? Pretty hard it turns out!
But, its not very ethical and not very safe!
How about a virtual climb then? Well that’s 58,070 steps or an 8.8 Km climb – still pretty tough, but without ever wearing a woolly hat!
At my house that’s the equivalent of 3871 steps or 3520 ascents of my stairs…
Im aiming to do this over 3 weeks, but my goal is 2 weeks – that’s 184 ascents and descents a day for 2 weeks.
Plan is for a Friday June 22nd start, then a race to the top!
I am raising money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital as part of our wider Skinflint 2023 rally challenge. So please sponsor me and give generously to this worthy cause.
All monies raised through sponsorship will go directly to the children's hospital.

The Children's Hospital Charity changes children's lives everyday.
The money raised supports specialist treatment from head to toe by funding life-saving equipment, new facilities, a comfortable environment and vital research which changes paediatric care for thousands of children from across the world.
That's why Penistone Round Table are going to be doing loads of fun and silly fundraising around Penistone this summer to try and raise £5,000 for this amazing charity. And we need your support! We'll be doing fancy dress charity runs, zany auctions and other general silliness - which will all culminate in our showpiece fundraiser in September 2023... the Skinflint Rally!
We'll be buying and decorating an old banger, which we'll show-off around Penistone before attempting an epic trip to Austria, taking on the world famous Grossglockner High Alpine Pass! We'd love you to help us by making a donation to support this amazing charity.
