Story
My nephew Reggie who is only 4 was a very active independent young boy , then in February he was hit with encephalitis, a rare infection which attacked his brain , it left him unable to talk and move , he had to learn this all again , he was in Swindon gwh for a week before moving to jr Oxford, this was a truly horrendous time for the whole family wondering if they would ever hear him speak again , thankfully he his back home now walking and talking and learning how to rebuild his life , he struggles on some day to day things and with his emotions but he battles through daily with a smile , although my brother amd his wife will have lost part of there son through encephalitis amd will never get that back , they are just so grateful he is still here smiling as it could of turned out so much worse. the encephalitis society helped them understand a lot about what was happening it’s the only one in the world and is desperate for more funding
