Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2011 and have been living with it since - with brilliant support from the NHS. I had awake surgery in 2012, and am now having radiotherapy and chemotherapy. My prognosis is good, and I have enjoyed a good quality of life since my diagnosis. During that time I've received fantastic support from my family, friends and colleagues and - for the most part - my employers (especially my current one).
However, I know that isn't the experience of everyone with a brain tumour. Many experience symptoms such as lack of concentration, mood changes and even personality changes that go to the core of their identity, presenting real challenges for them and their close ones. Many employers don't understand, are unsympathetic or even hostile and discriminatory.
BrainsTrust is a charity that is there for people in these circumstances. I invite you to consider making a small donation to support their work.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
