Story
Marie Curie does some invaluable work caring for people with terminal illnesses across the Scottish Borders and the whole of the UK, often allowing them to spend their final days at home rather than in a hospice or a hospital.
After being given an opportunity again to join some of my fellow MPs and running the London Marathon, I hope to raise some money for this fantastic charity.
This is the second time I have run this marathon, my 4th in total and my personal goal is to retain my title of fastest Member of Parliament!
But more importantly, I want to raise money for the care of people with terminal illnesses in the Scottish Borders.
I am therefore hoping to raise £5,000 for Marie Curie to help those living with a terminal illness in the Scottish Borders. This will help the charity provide 250 hours of nursing care, to allow patients the choice to spend their final days at home with family and in familiar surroundings.
Please give generously.
