I have been invited to join the Tall Ships Adventure Challenge, a round Britain sailing relay organised by the Tall Ships Youth Trust and the Newark and Sherwood YMCA. I will be joining a group of around 80 individuals from Newark and Sherwood to support the development of the YMCA Community and Activity Village.

My leg of the trip, entitled “Investing in our Community”, will be from Liverpool to Greenock via Belfast.  We will set sail in one of the Tall Ships’ 72-foot Challenger boats on 17^th September 2019, finishing on 21^st September 2019.

This promises to be an exciting experience and undoubtedly a lot of hard work…the Irish Sea can be a hard task-mistress in Autumn.

Both the Tall Ships Youth Trust and the YMCA are fantastic charities and I hope that you will be able to help me to raise my target of £1,500…if not more.

All the money we raise together will go to supporting the YMCA Community and Activity Village in Newark. YMCA Newark and Sherwood are a local charity with a passionate belief in young people.
