Story
Earlier this year, I dipped my toes (and nearly lost a few of them) into the world of ultra racing by completing the Yukon Arctic Ultra. To persist with my mid-life crisis, I thought I would attempt another one in a similarly bleak environment (Yorkshire).
On January 10th, 2015, I am attempting The Spine Race - www.thespinerace.com - labelled " Britain's most brutal foot race " (their words not mine) - a 268 mile non stop winter mountain marathon along the length of the Pennine Way. Here is a link to a trailer for the race.

Having surprised myself that I was able to (just about) finish a race of this nature in the Yukon, I thought I would use this opportunity to raise some money for a very good cause. Knowing that people have sponsored me will encourage me to keep going in some of the darker moments along the way.
