I recently registered to participate in a fundraising event called the First Coast Sleep Out Challenge. Proceeds will benefit Alpha-Omega Miracle Home in St. Augustine, FL, in support of their efforts to help young women, their children and senior women transition out of poverty and homelessness. I will be a participating with a small group of business, community, and faith leaders from our region. I will be sleeping out all night Friday, Jan. 7, 2022. This will be ONE night to shine MY light on homelessness. Rather than pretending to be homeless, I will be taking part in an overnight experience to understand, reflect, and build awareness.
