Story
Hi everyone.
Many of you know that last year I lost my dad, Alan to cancer at just 54 years of age. It was one of the hardest things to ever happen to me - but I'm going to attempt something pretty tough in his memory.
In the space of six weeks, I'm going to first walk the 100 miles of the West Highland Way from Milngavie to Fort William from the 19th to the 24th of September; then a week later on the 3rd of October I'll be undertaking my second full marathon in Belfast, going for the 26.2 miles in 4 hours if I can; then finally 2 weeks later on the 16th and 17th of October I will be part of a team that will aim to run for 24 hours solid at the Belfast 24 Hour Race, with my aim to run a half marathon of 13.1 miles in each of my three two hour stints. That's a total of 165.5 miles over the three events.
I know that times are tight, but every penny given to cancer research is an opportunity to stop this devastating disease from doing this to someone else's dad, mum, brother or sister, so please if you can spare a quid, two or ten - please consider donating if you can.
Thanks everyone.
F*ck Cancer!
