Story

As most of you will have spotted I'm not exactly built for long distance trekking :)

However you may also know that the cause is very close to home, and I'm aiming to raise as much as possible to support the amazing work The Royal Marsden Cancer Unit has done for my close friend and business partner, Charlie.

Despite my age-ing body, the severe arthritis, and the considerable "excess baggage", the circa 75 kilometres is a challenge I'm very excited to take on - despite the Guides casual warning of "quite challenging climbs ... oh and possibly bears, and land mines." !!

The Royal Marsden is a world-leading cancer centre that provides the very best care and develops life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, any donations of any size (and my ability to complete the 5 day trek) will assist  to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
