As most of my family and friends know, I have endured life changing surgery and after countless surgeries and many hours of intense rehabilitation, I decided that my body needed to be tested again. I signed up Ironman Wales 2020 but due to COVID it’s now taking place next month…3 years after originally signing up. My journey has been tough to say the least, but in comparison to many service men and women that I have helped to rehabilitate, it just doesn’t compare. The DMRCBenevolent Fund has given so much support, guidance and time to me and many others that have been sick or injured during their career and helped us through challenging times. To show my appreciation, I am trying to raise awareness and much needed funding for the future of the charity.
