Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know Gordon and Nicole Brown lost their daughter Eilidh when she was only 15 years of age to a rare blood cancer. With the help of many friends over 9 years they raised enough money and built a superb respite home in her name and memory. Designed by Ally Croll Architect and built by John McLeod Principal Contractor, this amazing home is now complete has and ready to open to families who’s children are going through cancer treatment, and are in need of respite care. It’ll need approximately £50,000 per year to run it properly.
I am going to cycle the length of Great Britain, around 900 miles, between 26th May and 3rd June 2021, solo and unsupported, to help raise money for its upkeep.
I am seeking your sponsorship and any fundraising support you can offer, personal, business and corporate, to help the Eilidh Brown Respite Home. Please give anything you can, all support is welcome and appreciated.
As with all my previous fundraising I am fully self funding my attempt at this challenge, including all equipment, accommodation and of course snacks, burning 6000 plus calories a day. I have no illusions at 53 years of age, this will be sore and take everything I have physically and psychologically to complete. I have been training for around a year and started recording my weekly routines on Strava, around Xmas so you can follow my progress should you wish.
Please help me fundraise by sharing the JustGiving link, and getting in contact with potential sponsors.
PM me though FB or my mobile if you can link us in with corporate sponsorship, I will be putting sponsors on my cycling jersey.
Thank you for reading and thank you for your support.
