Running the London Marathon has always been a dream of mine. Having never completed a marathon on its own (only in an Ironman) I saw this as the perfect opportunity to run it. I get to run around London and raise vital support and funds for a local charity CFC.

Every year in the UK approximately 2,400 children and young people (up to and including the age of 18) are diagnosed with cancer.Exercise and activity has been shown in numerous scientific studies to be the single most effective way of improving both physical and mental wellness for people surviving cancer.We promote cycling as the best form of exercise-based rehabilitation for children because it provides all these benefits in a low impact, fun, sociable and exciting way! Every penny of your fundraising will go directly to helping children living with cancer by providing them with new lightweight bikes, specially adapted trikes, tandems, tag-a-longs, which help them to regain their physical fitness, strength, mental wellness and reduce their social isolation after months of cancer treatment. Since the charity began in 2005 we have helped over 8,000 children in their rehabilitation, enabling then to get outside, get active and have some much needed fun!
