I am taking part in a 3 day bike ride on 26-28 August from Dalby to Tara, Miles and Chinchilla to support our farmers.

We are raising money to buy 3 Nissan 4WD vehicles for Aussie Helpers, a wonderful group of volunteers whose mission is to support our wonderful farming communities who are going through such tough times right now. These volunteers are travelling throughout the bush calling in on farmers with a food hamper and to have a cup of tea and a chat. Depression and suicide in our farming communities has hit alarming rates. Our farmers are often too proud to seek or accept help even during the current crippling drought. Yet if anyone deserves our help, it is them. 

Visits from Aussie Helpers trained volunteers have proven to have a really positive impact on farmers' resilience and also to determine if further support is required. Founder Brian Egan has featured on Australian Story. They receive no government funding and have only 2 paid admin staff. If we can raise the funds for 3 4WD vehicles, it will enable Aussie Helpers to visit more farms and offer more support. I hope you can help me to help them.
