Event: Walk for Syria, on 23 June 2018
Participants: John Collard, Interim Minister at Kirkcudbright Parish Church; Andy Wade, Operations Director at Abernethy Barcaple; and Gordon Mursell, retired Bishop of Stafford, are together taking part in Halo Trust's 'Walk for Syria'.
After 7 years of fighting in Syria, homes, streets and schools are littered with landmines and explosives. Innocent families and children are living in constant danger and desperately need your help.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Halo Trust is a fantastic organisation that works throughout the world to rid countries of landmines and other explosive remnants of war so that the land once again becomes safe to live on and cultivate.

They are based in Dumfries and Galloway near Thornhill and this sponsored walk is a 30km circuit near their headquarters.

We are all keen walkers and when we saw the chance to walk together and at the same time raise money for a local charity we leapt at it!

We are walking together under the auspices of Kirkcudbright Churches Together, and all the money raised goes directly to the Halo Trust.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
