Story

Just before Christmas, I met a neighbour who told me he was running the London Marathon in order to raise money for the children’s hospice, Shooting Star, based locally in Hampton, Middlesex.  Sadly, his five year old son was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy a year ago, and the hospice has been providing support and advice to him and his family. Shooting Star is funded entirely by charitable contributions.

I had two lovely uncles who suffered from, and eventually died, from Muscular Dystrophy.  I therefore appreciate the time and energy needed to care for, and support, a loved one with this condition.

Therefore, I have decided to join my neighbour’s efforts in raising money for Shooting Star by running this year’s London Marathon too.

It would be great to get your support for this deserving cause.
