Story
I'll be running the 2024 London Marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity very close to mine and my family's hearts.
We lost my Aunty Chez in 2021. She fought breast cancer so bravely for over a decade, and I saw first hand how cruel a disease it is. I also know how much she benefitted from the important work Macmillan Cancer Support in Jersey did to provide help, care and support for her and everyone else living with such a horrible illness.
Whilst we all hope a cure can be found one day, raising vital money so that Macmillan can continue to provide emotional, practical, physical, and financial help to those with cancer is just as important.
I’m going to raffle a series of prizes over the next few months to really add to the admin and first up is a Torquay shirt signed by the whole squad. I’ll draw for this on December 1st in time for it to make the perfect Xmas present, all you need to do is donate £10 or more. Of course, anyone who donates who doesn’t want a Torquay shirt is also very welcome. Maybe just comment ‘I don’t want a Torquay shirt’.
I really hope you can spare whatever you can help me reach my target - I'm relying on you to keep me going through the months of training and 26.2 miles through London in April!
Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe, and once you donate, they'll send your money directly to Macmillan.
