I have known the team behind breast cancer research in Epping for a number of years and truly admire the work they do. I have tried to help with fundraising over the years, but I feel personally involved with this campaign as I can help raise money for this amazing group of people. One of the many impressive things about this charity is that the chief executive, who is himself a breast cancer surgeon, refuses to take any payment from the charity. He says that as he is paid by the NHS why should he be paid twice for doing the same job? In today’s society which is all about celebrity, self and self-promotion I find this group of people truly wonderful and unique. Therefore I am going sober for October and possibly November to support them. Please help me, help them.
