Story
I have decided to take on an incredible challenge to raise money for St Peter's Hospice. Between 15-19 May 2024 I will be cycling over 400 km from Bristol to Paris.
I have previously cycled 100 km in a day but never over 4 consecutive days!
Day 1 - St Peter's Hospice to Warminster
Day 2 - Warminster to Portsmouth + overnight ferry to Caen
Day 3 - Caen to Évreux
Day 4 - Évreux to Paris
I have previously raised money for St Peter's Hospice by doing a 15,000 ft skydive (see cover photo), and completed the Tour de Bristol. This will be the toughest challenge yet though.
Please donate to support me through my training. I am hoping to raise at least £1750, of which I have to raise £1400 by February 24 to enter the challenge.
Message from St Peter's Hospice:
St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's ONLY adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Our commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. All of our care is provided free of charge, but it costs us around £20,000 a day to provide that care. For most of this money we rely on Gifts in Wills, donations, fundraising and our shops.
We believe everyone deserves care and dignity at the end of their life, and our expert teams provide that in a professional and caring way. Our support is holistic, and covers the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual issues that can arise as a result of serious illness. We also extend our care to loved ones and carers, providing respite during the hardest of times. Thanks to donations like yours, we can be a voice at the end of the phone, a nurse on the doorstep, and a hand to hold through the darkest of times.
