Climbing Ben Nevis is a challenge I've always fancied doing but haven't taken the time to do. 

Now I have the time.  When I saw this opportunity to do the climb safely I felt I've no excuse not to. Especially for such a good cause.  Originally scheduled for September last year it was put back to this year out of respect for the recently deceased Queen. 

As an "Auld Man" I'm grateful to be healthy enough to be able to take this on.  While climbing I'll be thinking of family and friends who would have loved to do it too but no longer can. 

Part of my fundraising is for the Rangers Charity, who support a wide range of projects including UNICEF Vaccines and those working with homeless people in Glasgow. Read more about them here.
