Fundraising for Confident Children out of Conflict UK
I first came across Confident Children out of Conflict in my first visit to South Sudan in 2010 and was amazed at the work they were doing to provide a future for kids living in really rough circumstances on the streets of Juba.
Each year I was back in South Sudan the organisation grew, eventually to provide residential care to kids in the most difficult circumstances. I had the privilege of serving as their Programme Manager from 2014 to 2016 helping provide support to children who were severely impacted by the civil war. Since returning to the UK I've worked with a great team to set up Confident Children out of Conflict UK (CCC UK) as a UK Charity to support the amazing work being done to support South Sudanese kids.
Since leaving South Sudan I have visited each year and was amazed at the ongoing impact that Confident Children have in difficult circumstances with reduced resources. CCC UK was able to support over 800 children to go to school in South Sudan in 2018, and we are supporting some girls at boarding school in Uganda in 2019 as well as continuing to support the children at school in South Sudan.
