On January 18th 2013 I will be part of a 4 man privately funded team to try and reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in East Africa. At 19,340 feet Kilimanjaro is one of the highest in the world. We are travelling up the Lemosho Route and if we can battle the physical challenge and the dreaded altitude sickness we hope to reach the top around the 26th January. What started out as a laugh, agreeing to go with my pal for his 50th Birthday trip is now a reality!! Ive decided to try and raise funds for Haig Homes who provide accommodation for ex servicemen and Breakthrough for Breat Cancer in memory of a dear collegue who lost her brave battle with cancer recently. Please either choose one or split your donation accordingly.
