Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 10th October 2021, I will be running the Manchester Marathon. it is my first ever Marathon, at the age of 56!

There are so many worthwhile causes to support, however I am running to raise both funds and awareness with regard to Epilepsy and the work of Epilepsy Action.

My motivation for this is my son Zachary who has suffered terribly with Epilepsy since the age of 4. Epilepsy Action have been a great source of support to us as a family over the years.

Epilepsy has impacted massively  on Zachary, however we are so very proud of him., he has amazing resilience and will never give up. We love him so much.

I have had some set backs with a few injuries and I am not looking  to break any records, I  just want to finish the course hopefully before the organisers pack up and go home!!

Thank you for taking the time to read this, it is most sincerely appreciated!

Epilepsy Action is creating a world without limits for everyone affected by epilepsy, connecting people with others, and providing support and information you can trust. We’re calling out the misunderstanding, prejudice and barriers that stop people with epilepsy living their best life.
