Story
It's that time of year again!
Those who know me will know my Mum has never had life easy. In 2008, at only 35 years old, she was diagnosed with Grade 3 Breast Cancer. After a mastectomy and chemotherapy she was NED (no evidence of disease); but shortly after celebrating 10 years cancer free, she was diagnosed again; this time with Secondary Breast Cancer with metastases to the lymph nodes, lungs, liver, bones and bowel. Sadly, she is incurable, but with The Christie's support, advice, research and clinical trials, she's still here, and she wouldn't be if it weren't for them. They've been treating Mum for 14 years now and have been incredible from the start, only growing in their capability with support of donations. We are so so lucky to have this facility on our doorstep, and I want to make sure it's here for years to come, to treat as many cancer patients as possible!
Last year, I jumped out of a plane at 15,000ft. This year, I'm not going quite as high, but it'll require a little more effort on my part compared to just sitting comfortably on a nice man's crotch and letting him do all the work so please, once again, share and donate if you're able!
Thank You!
